This workshop will be an opportunity to discuss initial recommendations and learn from the broader community the challenges they are having related to collecting and managing multilingual and non-English content and to identify potential solutions they could contribute to community recommendations published by COAR.

This workshop will introduce participants to the Research Organization Registry (ROR); teach participants to search the ROR API; go over the importance of ROR IDs in DataCite DOIs; and invite participants to share information about whether, why, and how their own repositories might make use of ROR.

This workshop shares the process of setting up the OmekaS collections site, through an exploration of OmekaS, the technological steps in setting up the infrastructure, and some practices of setting up collections and sites.

This workshop will provide a background to, and practical sessions on, enriching standard metadata in repositories with Linked Data elements. This includes a brief introduction to the Semantic Web, what Linked Data is, and how to enrich metadata through practical sessions.

This workshop will prepare attendees to upgrade their existing DSpace 6.x installation to Dspace 7.x by explaining the key differences between the two software architectures and doing a practical in-place upgrade in a classroom setting.

This hands-on workshop will introduce attendees to the openly documented Figshare API by giving a concise overview of its various GET, POST, PUT and DELETE methods and how to write scripts that can do iterative calls against the API for interoperability and customization purposes. Participants will learn how to use the API for common tasks and workflows, build custom reports, and format harvested metadata for upload. Building customised front-end web applications will also be discussed. No prior API or coding experience is required. Participants of all skill levels will find the workshop content useful. Workshop Outcomes: Participants will

    1. Understand how to retrieve information from the Figshare API endpoints
    2. Become familiar with software tools they can use to work with the Figshare API
    3. Create one or more practice scripts for common or specific workflows
